Two blaster bolts unerringly strike the foolishly brave Gand, the second lifting him off of his feet and knocking him flat. He doesn't stir after that, smoke curling from his chest.

Spoiler:
aimed attack w/DP: 2eP+1eA+2eD+1eB 1 success, 1 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImage
7 (base) + 1 (success) = 8 - 4 (soak) = 4 wounds (now at 6/12)

aimed attack w/DP: 2eP+1eA+2eD+2eB 4 successes
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
7 (base) + 4 (success) = 11 - 4 (soak) = 7 wounds (now at 13/12)
crit: 1d100 31+10=41 {yes, Gand will regret his rash actions ... if/when he awakens}

Another blaster bolt comes screeching out of the cave and narrowly misses Uqoza.

"And there was mistake number two!" Garr shouts, as he continues his headlong charge.

Spoiler:
Moving from medium to short range, maneuver to aim (another 2 strain) and then blasting away.

Ranged: Heavy on the cave people. Round 2.: 1eP+2eA+1eD+2eS+1eB 1 success, 1 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Whew, looks like the aim made the difference. Putting that advantage towards regaining a point of strain. 10 damage from the carbine.

Shaking his head incredulously at Garr's aggressive maneuver, Silus raised his rifle. Peering carefully down his rifle's sites, the Rodian did his best to protect his foolish new companion.

Spoiler:
Maneuver: Aim
Action: Ranged Heavy

I'm aiming at the same target as Garr. If Garr was able to finish him/her off, I'll move on to whoever gunned down Gand.

Gritting his teeth, Uquoza continued to return fire at the mysterious attackers. Although his shots failed to strike home, the scattered beams of supercharged plasma sparked and burst in the cave. Splintered shards of rock fell upon the inhabitants, dazing them.

Spoiler:
Maneuver: Aim
Action: Ranged Heavy

Returning Fire (Ranged Heavy): 2eP+2eA+1eB+3eD+2eS 2 failures, 3 advantage

I'll spend the advantage to give a setback to the same thing that Silus and Garr tried to fell. I'll also give a boost to the next shot at him/her

Argon seeing the other continue forward aims carefully along his rifle. Seeing Silus' and Garr's attacker he fires as Uqoza's shot forces the attacker to adjust slightly. The wait was worth it as Argon see his blaster bolt strike his opponent.

Spoiler:
I do not have the stats for an E11 rifle handy at the moment but will look them up tomorrow when i have access to the book.

Eleena risked a glance over the rocks as she heard a grunt and the impact of blaster bolts across the deadly field. She had just enough time to see Gand go down from several shots to the chest. She sighed in hope that the blasts would prove not to be fatal. Any further thought was lost, however, to the near miss that blasted into the cover she and Uquoza were hiding behind.

The twi'lek took a deep breath despite the pain in her chest. "Nice shot!" she said to Uquoza. "Keep it stead, we've almost got them."

Eleena ignoring the pain in her chest to take a deep breath was ill-considered. That pain flares agonizingly and her vision grays for an instant, leaving her almost breathless and with continuing difficulty breathing.

Spoiler:
She takes 3 strain from her talent use.

Three bolts are fired at Garr, two of them striking their mark, but the plucky (and doomed) kid remains on his feet ... barely. To the relief, and dismay, of his companions, the sniper changes targets from Uqoza and slams a bolt into Garr, dropping him and removing the nearby threat.

Targeting the sniper, Silus nervously attempts to even the odds. His burst seems to find its target and the mercenary is able to begin to relax. He's used to firefights and feels confident in a long ranged shootout.

Spoiler:

Ranged (Heavy): 2eP+2eA+1eB+3eD+2eS 1 success, 1 advantage

Seeing another companion fall, Uquoza curses and spits in the dirt. His oath as a doctor compels him to aid them, but he knows that he's no good to them dead. Staying in cover, he carefully aims his rifle at the sniper who brought down Garr.

Spoiler:
Aim ; Maneuver
Ranged (Heavy): 2eP+2eA+1eB+3eD+2eS 2 successes, 2 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Damage: 10 (base) + 2 (succeses)

I'll spend one advantage to give the next ally a boost and one advantage to recover a strain.

After Uqoza's shot the Gand sniper can no longer be seen. Uqoza is pretty sure his target is dead; people tend to not survive blaster shots to the head.

"What I wouldn't give for another rifle." Eleena mutters as the exchange of fire continues behind her. More careful of her breathing and injury this time, she pushes herself back up again and once more peers around their cover. "I think I see another, just to the left on the one you hit, crouched behind the rock. You can get him if you aim carefully, steady shot." Staring down at the attacker in the darkness, she found herself simply willing him to get hit. She desperately missed her rifle.

Argon continues to scan the caves for opportunity to fire. Not seeing many clear shot he takes the first available opportunity firing as he sees a flicker a material appear from behind cover. Unfortunately the figure disappeared as fast as it emerged and Argon's bolts strike into nothing but rock.

Ducking instinctively away from the incoming blaster fire, Uquoza spit in the dirt. I'd always hoped to get away from this kind of thing. I'm a doctor, damn it, not a sniper. Nonetheless, the surly Miralian shouldered his rifle and peeked back around his cover, returning fire. Stay down, he thought as his shots found their target, We end this and I'll get to patching everyone back together.

Spoiler:
Aim + Fire
Returning Fire (Ranged Heavy): 2eP+2eA+1eB+3eD+2eS 5 successes, 2 threat

Admiring Uqoza's aim, Silus continued to follow the medic's lead. Aiming his rifle at the newest sniper, the Rodian pulled the trigger and tried to end the conflict.

Spoiler:
Manuever: Aim
Action: Ranged (Heavy)

Original Roll:
Returning Fire (Ranged Heavy): 2eP+2eA+2eD+2eS 2 failures, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Additional Roll for Difficulty:
Extra difficulty: 1eD+1eS 0 successes, 2 threat
ImageImage

Additional Roll for Aim:
Aim: 1eB 0 successes
Image

So total results now: 2 Failure, 1 Threat, 1 Triumph

Well...huh. Can I use the Triumph to force a surrender through intimidation? To eliminate a minion or crit a rival?

Eleena winced slightly as the exchanges of blaster fire blew apart the rocks near the cave's entrance. Unless there was a hidden exit somewhere, the ambushers had trapped themselves. Perhaps she could use that against them – after all, she doubted they had any desire to lay their lives down here and now. Struggling against the pain in her chest, Eleena took a deep breath.

"This doesn't have to end this way!" She called out, her voice projecting across the desert plain. "Come out into the open with your weapons down, and you can walk away alive."

A few more carefully aimed blasts came out from Argon, reinforcing the hopelessness of their situation.

Spoiler:
Action: Coercion Check
(I'm assuming you didn't account for my critical injury when you set the difficulty)
Coercion (surrender): 2eP+1eA+2eB+3eD 0 successes, 4 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
Well, that didn't quite go how I wanted it to. Suppose I could use the advantage to give two of them blacks to their next shot as they hesitate to continue? Unless you have something particular in mind.

No further shots seem to be coming from the cave. Whether this is due to Eleena's 'negotiation' is something that none of you know. Perhaps they've retreated deeper into the cave. Perhaps they've run out of ammo, however unlikely that might be. Perhaps they're up to something. You simply don't know.

The distinct lack of return fire from the cave hung in the air after Eleena's words. As the moment ended, the twi'lek turned to the doctor and gave a slight nod of relief. She could tell he wanted to tend to the injured.

"Perhaps they did have a second exit – some way not to be cornered in their cave. Whatever the case, this pause seems like a good time to get our friends out of harm's way. Give me the rifle, I'll cover you."

Argon moves forward towards the entrance of the cave keeping his rifle readied incase he sees any movement. "We need to find a way out of here! Can that speeder be salvaged?" He yells as he drops to the ground prone.
Spoiler:

Nodding his assent, Uqoza passes his rifle to the Twi'lek and begins to look over her wounds.

Spoiler:
Maneuver: Give rifle
Maneuver: Ready medical gear (2 strain)
Action: Attempting to cure the critical injury
Curing Eleena's Critical Injury: 2eP+2eA+2eD 2 successes, 2 advantage

"I don't know!" she yelled back to Argon, "Let's get everyone out of danger, then we'll figure it out."

"I'm fine." Eleena insisted even as the medic started patching her up. "Check on the others."

Taking the calm moment to settle the rifle a bit better against her shoulder, the twi'lek continued to survey the cave entrance for signs of the enemy.
