I'm opening a new topic, instead of ressurrecting the other one, to see if there's any interest in some old, dirty Arena fight. To test builds, combos, to see your character grow or just for fun.

Rules:
28pt buy
Lvl 10-20 (let's say 14?)
No DP, Full FP
50000 Creds max (To spend on personal weapons/gear)
2-1-2-1 diagonal movement
Can choose a multiclass bonus skill instead of feat

What map are you thinking?





EDIT: also I'd like to propose a house rule allowing the swapping of weapon proficiencies from the starting class to fit the character's background (A noble might have training in using a rifle (for sporting purposes) rather than a pistol, or maybe a soldier was trained to use a vibroblade for close combat rather than a pistol, ect.)

Background
Pride is the downfall of many. This was the case of Sal'oar Strider, a young Jedi that was an prodigal student of the blade. He mastered the Double lightsaber, twirling it between the four hands and fusing it to the Juyo style - agression - controled agression - He was considered an example for the other students.

But time, came to change that. As a recently promoted Jedi knight, he met a blademaster, one that he begged to fight with. One that beated him in a duel.

The master entered a trance and his every move thrummed with the force, striking Sal'oar down in a matter of minutes. Sal'oar didn't back down, though. He got up and full of rage, raging against himself for failing, raging against the master for his tricks and tempered attacks, attacked with all his might. He touched the master, but again he hit the ground and lost.

He gave up and congratulated the master. But that first fight was the spark that lead him into the darkside. The rage never died and from that moment on he searched every method to improve his skill - finding ancient tomes on sith Alchemy.

Years later, already lost to the dark side, Darth Rend'or found a kind of inner peace - in the rage there is clarity and strength... He now roams the galaxy in search of worthy adversaries with whom to lock blades.

G15 seems a good place for a start. You have a feat that doesn't exist: Overwhelming force. There are Overwhelming attack and Unstoppable force.

What's the fluff around the battle? Is your character seeking revenge or mine a victim?

Thanks. I think I meant overwhelming attack, but I'll double check to be sure.

I was almost thinking that Jethro is defending his hometown. kind of a play on the classic western : the sherrif must protect the town from the bandit.

That, or Jethro is hiding out and the Empire sent Death Rend'or to bring him in.

Seems like a good way to justify him having a Droideka.

The town has a Sith holocron, or at least clues about it's location, stored somewhere (caves or something).

Rend'or wants to find it, as a way to perfect his knowledge on alchemy and increase his melee prowess.

Jethro, having felt a great darkness in the force coming, and thinking it means to destroy the town, stands ready to protect it - the place he calls home.

I updated my character sheet to show the correct Feat name (Overwhelming Attack)


Jethro had felt the dark-side user when it neared the town. He had hoped that it would just pass through, or around. So far it had not and now it fell to him to make sure that it did - either left the town for good, or joined the Force.

"Rollie, you head north around this building, I'll head south, and we'll meet on the other side. Keep your photoreceptors focused for trouble."

'Bleep-Bloop"

The Mark II rolls north, and Jethro moves south around the low wall, trying to get a visual on the dark-sider.

Rendor stops searching as he feels the force-user approach. The search, till now, was a failure - he didn't find any clue where the Holocron was. Probably this one had it in his possession. With luck he would be a strong one.

Focusing on his anger, the darkside energy pulses through his body, his muscles flexing and tightening, in a mix of pain and energy waiting to be released.
But since he discovered the truth of the Sith ways strength, this anger brought him another thing - clarity, balance.

He exits this room and sees a rolling mass of metal - Another droid., he thinks They don't know when to quit.

Rage boiling, giving him power, making his eyes glow red with pure energy, he lets the force flow through him and make his steps quick, making him acrobatic charge through the space, striking the droid.

Swift: Improved Dark Rage, spending a FP for bonus to remain entire battle1d20+20=27 +6 to melee attack and damage rolls

Assuming the shileld was on, and that it can be on while rolling 11 damage passes through the shield. It goes down to SR15 and goes -1 on the CT.

The protocols for the droideka aren't specific, but I was thinking that the droid had stopped rolling, but hadn't brought up it's shields. Therefore, -31 HP total. This pushes the droid -1 on the CT. The ion damage, however, doesn't exceed the threshold by itself (since in halving it you assumed that there was only 10 ion damage done), so by my reading of the ion rules(Core, pg 159-160) there is no additional movement down the track (if there was, it would be an additional -2).


The blade bit into the droid before it's shields could come online, the force of the blow doing more than the ion pulse. As it's shields activated, the droid let loose a burst of fire from it's cannons point blank into the organic.

Jethro saw the source of the dark-side aura come out of the Docking Office - a four armed humanoid, in a Correllian powersuit. The humanoid turned and charged at his droid with Force enhanced speed, swinging a sword that radiated dark-side energy. He advanced around the building in time to see his doid, now with shields activated, fire a blast into the humanoid.

Swift: Droideka: Twin Blaster Burst: (1d20+17=37)-2 = 36
- Critical Hit: Damage: (3d8+2=20) x2 = 40

The extra -1 on the Ct isn't because of the ion damage, it's because of the Stunning strike talent. As the Damage roll (as per the errata) was higher than the threshold it goes one down.


The power of the darkside pulses through his body as the droid chassis absorbs the kinetic energy of the charge, Sith blade almost embedding itself in the metal, making the deflection an acrobatic thing – the other blade cutting the bolt in two, making then miss his body by an inch.

In his movement , as he gains foot, preparing to finish the droid up, he sees a human approach.
His rage, hot, becomes a fire inside his brain. He extends his hand and grasps the neck of the human, lifting him in the air.

“Human, where is it? Where’s it hidden?” he says as he approaches him.

Reaction: Deflect: 1d20+20=36
Standard: Force grip 1d20+20=40critical - recover all powers spent
Damage: 6d6=23 spend FP to extend duration
Move: Withdraw to I22
Free : speak
