Strike Force Isk - Operation: Shadowpoint (OOC)

OOC discussion of ongoing play

Problems are surmountable. I never make assumptions that we won't encounter problems. What I (mistakenly) assumed was that a "way in" would actually be a "way in." But thank you for making things plain, Shado. It doesn't do us any good to keep guessing at things that should be clear in the first place.

Many apologies to all my fellow players, but I'm gonna have to bow out of this game at this point. I've had a lot of fun roleplaying with all of you, but I only have a very limited amount of free time in the week (and this increasingly so), and I feel like my gaming time would be better spent on more constructive pursuits.

I will miss roleplaying Telle...and I hope that she will still be of some use to you all! Perhaps one of you will be able to redeem her recent blunders in some classy way. But I'm completely spent.

Thanks for all the good times this past year, and may the Force be with you.

Damn. Losing the player of the face is ... annoying. But if it was going to happen, now is a good time. It will make transitioning a replacement player a bit easier to do once everyone is back at Whisper Base.

It was good playing with you, Away. (though you probably won't read this) May the force be with you as well.

Well, Shado, I remember how this goes, so I went ahead and posted for Telle (and BX).

Which is very much appreciated. Thank you! And thank you for sending everyone back to the base. We can fast-forward back there and let everyone get cleaned up and rested, if you'd like. Healed is another matter entirely. Unlike Telle, who's had her wounds treated by field surgery and stims, Joran and Caiden still have 5 and 6 wounds, respectively.

Do we have anything like this?? Because that would be awesome.

Also, are we really armed to the teeth? I mean I guess V'jax has several grenades, but other than that, we don't seem to be overly equipped with arms. Would our current armaments really be an issue in Iziz?

NOTE: the above was sarcastic in nature, of course we can't get cleaned from being immersed in sewage. A trip back to base is the only option. And we're not TOO heavily armed (though Orrin is), but being armed may be dangerous enough if the average townfolk is not armed.

You don't know this IC, but the average citizen in Iziz is, indeed, unarmed (unlike the villagers). They have Imperial troops and walls to protect them. And, besides grenades, some of you are carrying rifles. You don't even know if rifles are legal to own on Onderon, never mind open carry. I assure you that open carry of grenades is certainly going to get you stopped and arrested. On pretty much every planet occupied by the Empire.

Regardless of the rifles and grenades, I wonder if BX can even be seen in an Imperial controlled city. Is it even legal to have a B1 battledroid?

You don't know the answer to that. It's a good question. I'm glad that someone has finally thought to consider it.

Everyone is back at Whisper Base. Is it too much to expect that the players in this game do some ... well ... playing? Which means posting. At least posting OOC, but IC would be nice.

So, Joran gets to try a Medicine Check on Caiden and himself...
It's Easy for Caiden and Hard for Joran.
Boost from Medical Backpack.

Any Setback or other dice pool changes?

I'd like to call your attention to Quicksilver's own Pallets and Packaging house rule. I intend to use it in my own games.

Is the time spent cleaning enough to naturally recover strain?

No. You must sleep for at least 6-8 hours to get the "I am well-rested and have recovered all of my strain" benefit.

Quicksilver, there are a couple of errors in your recent IC post that need to be corrected. First, your team are the only Rebels on Onderon, and all of you knew this fact before you got to the planet. Second, the base (not 'station', since it's not in orbit) was built by a Moff to spy on an Admiral, not another Moff. You also knew this going in.
