"Six boarders, and they've got a hull cutter!" MidDen said over the comms with mild panic in her voice. "They're headed for front of the bottom deck."

Glancing over the shoulder of her suit, the Ugar caught that Ari was accessing the starboard weapons battery. More concerned with the shuttle than the fighters, MidDen quickly forwarded the telemetry data from the sensors to the weapons console before hurrying over herself. Sliding as best as she could next to the Rebel, she took over control of the ventral quad-laser, and after a brief moment tracking the incoming shuttle, opened fire even as it latched on to the bottom.

Seeing that the airlock is very close to the "front of the bottom deck", Hardnox will position himself so as to skewer the first thing to come through the doorway (if they manage to cut one). (Ideally, he'll skewer two of them together if they form a nice, little line or enter two at a time.) "I'll hold them off, should they gain entry below. They had their warning!"

"Hull cutter??? Six boarders!!!" , yells Owyn.
"What are we going to do?", he begs Eckhal.

A sharp pinging noise rings out from the main computer panel in Engineering. Eckhal turns to see the indication that the diagnostic process has finished.

He moves forward to press the nearby comm button, intending to inform the bridge that they can begin the process to jump to hyperspace. He is interrupted by another message.

"Initiating Diagnostic Sequence. System: Sublight Engines."

"This is not happening," Eckhal shouts, pounding his fist on the counter. He takes a seat and enters his admin credentials to override the program. Fortunately, he catches it before it starts the main cycle.

Eckhal's quick actions prevent 3PX's program from causing any more mayhem on the ship. In his haste, however, Eckhal tripped a computer security protocol and an alarm message appeared on every console in the ship except his; "Intruder Alert! Engineering"

The remaining Z-95 completes an arc turning back towards the freighter opening the distance between it and the Cherenkov blue to Medium. The Freighter itself moves into position to attach the Starfighter and its torrent mounted weapons turn to face the Cherenkov blue.

Hardnox, stumbles slightly as the Chrenkov banks starboard. Tis motion draws his attention to the side of the hull where he sees a bright red glow forming on the ships exterior walls. A large cutting flame appears through the side and begins cutting in an arc along the ships interior. While the progress is slow the definite outline of a large circle begins to appear.

The cutter has created a half circle and will complete cutting the entrance next turn the J9’s acknowledge the order and begin their search

Hardnox will hastily toss some items onto the floor in front of the space where they are cutting (intending to cause extra effort to move). He'll toss down some 10w40 if there's some around. He wonders, "Will they send through an explosive or something to clear people out before they board?" With this, he will take cover behind a corner close by (it is cramped spaces below) or he will rip a table up and hide behind that.

Ari taps a control to place all of the gun turrets back in local control. As she gets up she orders the battle droids to fire on any targets within range. "I'm going to lend a hand below, keep these scum out of the ship." Ari then heads towards her bunk to pick up her rifle.

A loud explosion rocks the ship. Hardnox's proximity to the attached shuttle forces him to cover his ears as the blaster fire reduces the shuttle to rubble. The feel of rushing air forces him back to the present. The heavily damaged shuttle is no longer capable of maintaining a seal on the partially formed entryway and the Cherenkov Blue is slowly leaking atmosphere. Fortunately, the entry way was not fully formed or the destruction of the shuttle could have resulted in catastrophic depressurization of the entire area.

Spoiler:
The ship is leaking atmosphere from that area. While the leak is small and the ship can maintain sufficient pressure for a while it will need to be sealed before the ship loses too much atmosphere. You have 4 turns, +1 for the droid's advantage, to seal the leak. Easy Mechanics to seal.

"That was CLOSE!" Hardnox says to himself. The garage area, or what there is of one, is on this lower level (according to floorplans), or at least an area likely to be where a vehicle can be stored....(which, hence, might have some tools). Hardnox will begin to search for tools....a welder or fusion cutter. He'll look for a breathing mask, as well, while at it.

With the opposing freighter turning to attach the last starfighter and having it's turrets face us, Owyn Daniels will try to boost our shields in the direction our ship is facing the other ship (whether it port or starboard).

"Orange, open up a general channel to the pirates." MidDen requested as soon as the ground stopped shaking from the sudden destruction of the shuttle beneath her feet. As soon as the channel was open, MidDen once again summoned her most confident voice from the depths of her cytoplasm.

"Dishonored Pirates." She started, "You have lost two ships and seven sentient beings. Withdraw, and you shall suffer no more casualties."

Eckhal moves away from the computer, when a warning klaxon blares nearby. He turns his eyes back to the panel to see the flashing message indicating a hull breach and its location. His eyes nearly shoot from their sockets. He gasps and begins to run, snatching his toolkit from the table on his way out.

He sprints down the hallway toward the breach. When he tries to stop, he slides and falls on his butt next to Hardnox. The Nikto is already holding a piece of metal plating in place, and is attempting to weld the seams. Eckhal leans in with his own welder. He holds it in position.

"Look away," he shouts, making sure that Nox averts his eyes. He holds a screen over his own eyes and ignites the welding laser (OOC: I'm not familiar with the tools, but I assume it would be a welding laser in Star Wars.) He runs it along the seam until it forms a clean seal.

Ship's sensors indicate that the starfighter and freighter have finished docking and they seem to be positioning to make a jump to hyperspace. As those on the bridge watch intently the cargo bay of the enemy freighter opens up and several dozen large spherical devices are dumped into space. The devices immediately start showing signs of power and position themselves in a lattice network in the area between the Cherenkov Blue and the enemy freighter. As the devices get into position filling in the gaps, each sphere ejects numerous smaller spheres which continue outward expanding the field. You estimate it to be only minutes before the smaller spheres reach your ship.

"Pilot!" MidDen called out as soon as she noticed the second deployment of spheres on the display. "Turn us around, take us away from those things, full speed."

A moment later, the Ugar activated her comm and set it to a general group channel. "The pirates are breaking off. They've deployed some kind of screen to keep us from following them. Brace for impact, just in case we can't outrun them."

Meanwhile, MidDen rushed over to the engineering console and moved the shields to the rear before trying to get a good enough scan of the deployed spheres to determine what kind of device they were and if they could pose any hazard to the departing craft.

The Cherenkov Blue banks suddenly away from the incoming mines its engines coming fully online as it accelerates forward gaining speed.

As the Cherenkov Blue moves away from the enemy ship sensors pick up a burst of energy as the ILK-KK enters hyperspace carrying the star fighter with it.

Meanwhile in engineering

the J9s come bursting through the door to engineering seeing one of the new comers in their alone they assume that it was Owyn that triggered the intruder alert. They quickly move around the newcomer ordering him to surrender. Ari's communicator beeps and upon answering it the J9's voice synthesizer comes through: "We have captured an intruder in engineering!"

Ari orders the J9s, "Owyn is not an intruder. Release him, immediately. Resume search for 3PX." She continues heading for wherever Hardnox was, in the absence of having been informed we're no longer in combat.
