Now that I have your attention, before anyone gets carried away with rolling, there's a few things else I need to point out. First, Brenko is still 1 minute out from medical. Second, the range for tractoring has dropped, lowering the difficulty by one die. Countering that, I'm flipping a DP on each of those checks, so the DP pool will soon have 3 LS, when I update it after I hit send on this post. And the pool I gave for the next pilot check is the base. It hasn't been modified by any successful tractor 'attacks'.

You may now resume your regularly scheduled panic.

Rolled before seeing any of those posts. If it counts it is above.

You should make those tractor rolls, adjusted as I mentioned above, and see if you can negate some of that threat.

Doc can roll the tractor attacks I forgot. My fussy toddler has removed me from the computer for awhile.

I also forgot to adjust the pilot pool by 1 blue for advantage passed from the previous pilot check. So even if Doc fails both tractor rolls there's at least 1 more blue to be rolled for, and perhaps as many as 3.

Alright, so the the tractor beam check has 1 less D, but the other D is upgraded to a C with the DP, correct?

tractor beam push 1: 3eP+2eB+2eC 0 successes, 5 advantage

tractor beam push 2: 3eP+2eB+2eC 0 successes, 1 advantage

I literally cannot win tonight. I can use all those advantages to give two eB to the pilot check, correct?

So that's 3 additional boost die to roll?

No. You need to roll another blue on the second tractor, passed by the 1st.

If you succeed, you have 2 extra blues to roll for, else just the one (that I forgot). You don't get a boost to piloting from the first, failed, tractor roll. The rolls must succeed to pass a boost to piloting.

One successful pilot check down. It sounds like we will need several before we are out of danger... We really need to get more crew.

Brenko arrives on Deck 8 at this time. His group is now caught up with the bridge and is in sync. What he finds has already been posted IC several posts back. He could yell "make a hole" in the traditional Navy manner, but that won't appreciably expedite his progress through the corridors into medical itself.

Killiri is just waiting to her from the Legitimate Business, then he's going to contact engineering.

You gave the order to answer their hail. The comm officer did. You didn't ask to speak to them. If you intended anything more than for the comm officer to acknowledge the hail, you needed to specifically say so. Clear, unambiguous orders are important.

Oh, sorry, I thought it was clear. I meant answer it so Killiri could hear it but.

Either way it works out.

You guys are luckier than you know. I neglected to add a second difficulty upgrade die to all checks, since the number of able-bodied crew dropped below 683, putting the ship back in the "skeleton crew" category.

I don't think we would have survived if you had remembered. I'll post an IC when I can, which probably will not be today. But all Brenko will be doing at this point is making sure the Captain gets seen and is stable. After that he will help Killiri assess the state of the ship.

You're going to need to roleplay the Captain getting seen. It's not going to go as smoothly as you expect.

OK. If that is going to stall the game then I give permission to Doc or yourself to begin such RP. If it wont hold things up ill post latter.

I don't think I was quite clear enough. The entirety of Deck 8 is jammed with casualties. That includes the troop area and docking bay 1. You need to edit your IC post.

Strictly OOC, there are 135 crew and 12 officers that, when the dust settles, will be dead or released from service on medical grounds. That number, 147, doesn't count "walking wounded" and "stretcher cases", which number in the hundreds. The only relatively unscathed characters on the ship are the nemesis-grade PCs. The other 600+ officers and crew are injured to varying degrees.
