Call to arms for a new Saga game

I had a vision in the Force last night... 8-)

Would it be possible to create a new "slim" Saga edition game, suitable for just 2-3 regular gamers?
What do you think, guys? Would you be interested? Would it be possibile?
And, most of all: would there be a GM inspired by these conditions? :)

I might be interested, but only as a player. Even then, I'd need to do some bandwidth calculations to see if it would work. However, I don't have to be involved in every game on the board, and it would be nice to have one I could just read for the fun of it. :)

I might be the GM for such a game... but I confess this would be my first time at the position for a pbp game in english with the most experienced players I've ever met. That's the reason why I'd rather be a player than a GM.

Let's see if there are interested players anyway. :)

I'd be willing to play!
If I were in another stage in my life I'd be willing to GM it. Even readdressing my old shadows and lights, I started on saga-edition.
But as it is now there are several days in wich I'm overruned with work, so it would be hard.

Protheuz, Blasterfodder30: first of all, thanks for your interest! :)

As I said in this thread, I'd rather like to be a player than a master right now. Since it seems there is a potential new game warming up (Wolves of the Sea), I'd freeze this project for the future, when time is ripe... In other words when I've lots of spare time to spark, handle and administer what would be my first game in a foreign language (late spring or summertime, I bet). The idea scares me a bit but I love the game... and challenges itselves. Hopefully there will be interested players in the future again: we'll see.

Meanwhile I thank you again. :)

Well... I'm toying with the idea of actually make this game real and run it as a GM... despite all the difficulties I will surely have to fight against. Eventually I hope you'll forgive my mistakes and help me make this game working. So, let's see if there is still someone that might be interested in it. :)

Campaign: Dancers in the Dark

Setting: These are really Dark Times for that far far away galaxy. Some months after the rise of the Empire, loose heroes of the Clone Wars just came back to their homelands in the Tapani Sector as they try to hide from the evil agents of the Empire while striving to unveil its inherent evilness.
The curtain opens up on Procopia, the sector's capital, as the heroes gather under dire circumstances...

GM: the_skald

Character Creation:
- 36 pt stat buy at 1st level
- Species could be any era appropriate species (the campaign standards specifically single out Ewoks as unavailable)
- character starting level is 9
- up to 4 players allowed for this campaign
- 80% HP gained for each additional level.
- Starting destiny points: 4.
- Droid characters are not allowed.
- Organization rules are applied
- All equipment is open but you must pay the additional license fee for any available equipment that has a restriction rating (see page 118 of the core rulebook). You need not make any skill checks to obtain an available item with a restriction rating.
- Destiny: all are available
- All character must be force-sensitive
- RaW are employed in this campaign. Optional rules or house-rules may be discussed and eventually approved in the appropriate OOC thread.
- starting money is Image22.500


Please post characters in the Database with the following format for the Subject:
"Username": "Character Name" (Dancers in the Dark)

GM's Notes:
- The characters may or may not know each other
- Allegiance to one of the seven houses of the Expanse must be declared and devised in the background of every single hero. The GM may help players finding a suitable solution for their characters in line with the campaign's ends.
- A brief report of the characters' deeds must introduce open hooks for future characters' developments
- The campaign is supposed to be rooted in the Tapani Sector and will eventually involve different parts and locations of the galaxy.
- The campaign will involve intrigue, combat, the Force and spacefaring journeys.
- Since interested players WILL BE more experienced in this game system than me, they are encouraged to help the GM rooting out eventual mistakes or wrong judgements (which I hope to avoid at all!). Moreover interested players HAVE TO BE patient about my poor/shaky english. :oops: :)

It's actually before/during the purge. And you know what? I'd love to have at least one pelagian character for the plot's sake and development. ;)

And - to tell the truth - I'd accept a mecetti character only under particular circumstances having conceived this campaign mainly on the lightsider side. :)

I was actually leaning toward a Pelagian noble. I don't know if I would go with a Jedi or another Force tradition yet. (gotta love the "Noble Fencing Style" talent! :) )

Also, what is your ruling on the "Wealth" Talent, and how how would it effect starting credits?

I would allow the talent - even at first level - provided a solid roleplaying will honour it.

Consider Organization's benefits as well.

All in all, remember Spiderman's legacy concerning powers. ;)

Sounds good.

As I'm building my character, I noticed that you didn't state what we should do for HP. Common options are: Max HP, % of Max HP (80% is common), or just roll for it.
